PROPRIETARY C55E Heat Treatments
- Hot-forming at 1050 to 850°C.
Normalizing at 825°C to 885°C, air.
Quenching at 830°C in water or Quenching at 850°C in oil or polymer.
Tempering at 550 to 650°C, air.
Stress-relieving, 50° under the temperature of tempering.
Soft annealing at 680 to 700°C. air.
Isothermal annealing at 790°C, furnace cooling to 660°C, than air.
End quench hardenability at 830°C, water.
Mechanical properties at different tempering temperatures obtained after quenching at 830°C in oil.
