PROPRIETARY A50 Heat Treatments
- Soft annealed: 650-700°C, furnace cooled (HB ≤ 248)
Stress relief annealed: 600-650°C, furnace cooled
Hardened: 840-890°C, oil cooled, pressure gas (N2), air cooled
The stress relief annealing recommendation 600-650°C is valid for the soft annealed condition. - Soft annealing: 650 - 700°C, furnace cooling.
Stress Relieving: 600 - 650°C, furnace cooling.
Hardening: 840 - 890°C, oil, compressed gas (N2), air cooling.
