NBR 1012 Heat Treatments
- The white annealing temperature is variable depending on the chemical composition, thickness, surface roughness, cold reduction imposed on the material and the desired conformation quality for the annealed product: commercial quality (QC), medium stamping (MS), deep stamping (EP) and extra-deep stamping (EEP). The white anneal is subcritical and therefore the temperature therein is above the recrystallization temperature under the metallurgical conditions in which the product is present and below the critical transformation temperature (550°C- 730°C).
