PROPRIETARY MTB Heat Treatments
- Isothermal annealing at 880°C, hold for 0.5 - 1h, furnace cooling to 780°C, hold at temperature for at least 5h, cool by 10 °C/h to 750°C, cooling in air. Stress relieving at 650 - 700°C, hold for 4 -6h, hold for 4 - 6h, furnace cooling to 300 - 350°C, cooling in air. Hardening: Initial preheating to 350 - 450°C, second preheating to 750 - 850°C, heat to a temperature in the range 1020 - 1050°C and hold at temperature, cooling in air. Tempering at 560 - 650°C for at least 3h, cooling in still air.
