DIN 1.7386 + I Heat Treatments
- Annealing: Heated at 950-980°C, held for 10-20 min. Cooled in the furnace at 700-720°C, held for 2h to 4h, then in still air or delayed in the furnace to 550°C, then cooled in the air.
Material can be hot and cold formed. Hot forming should be carried out at 1100-850°C. Forming operations such as forging and upsetting are carried out between 1100°C and 950°C. - Isothermal annealing (+I): 950-980°C, furnace atmosphere cooling.
