  • Softened: 1000-1120°C, water or air cooled.
  • Solution annealed at 1 000 to 1 100°C - If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified is usually preferred, or even exceeded;
    Cooling in water, air - Cooling sufficiently rapidly in order to avoid the occurrence of intergranular corrosion as defined in IS 10461 (Part 2).
