ISO C 45 E4 Heat Treatments


  • Normalizing: 840-880°C (1/2 hour); Water quenching: 820-860°C, Tempering: 550-660°C (1 hour).
  • TC+TA - cold drawn and annealed to maximum hardness requirements. P+TA - peeled and annealed to maximum hardness requirements. G+TA - ground and annealed to maximum hardness requirements. TC+TN - cold drawn and normalized. P+TN - peeled and normalized. G+TN - ground and normalized. TC+TQ+TT - cold drawn and quenched + tempered. P+TQ+TT - peeled and quenched + tempered. G+TQ+TT - ground and quenched + tempered. Hardening: 820-860°C (1/2 hour), water or oil quench; Tempering: 550-660°C (1 hour); Normalizing: 840-880°C.
