STAS 40 BCr 10 X Heat Treatments
- Hardening in the range 830-850°C, quenching in oil (for d <= 70 mm) or water (for 70 < d <= 100mm); Tempering in the range 500-650°C, cooling in water or oil.
Temperature of austenitization 845°C.
Hot plastic deformation:
- Forging and hot rolling: 1180-800°C
- Die forging: 1150-900°C.
Annealing in the range 680-720°C, furnace cooling; Normalization in the range 840-870°C, air cooling; Hardening (I) in the range 830-860°C, water or oil cooling; Tempering in the range 500-650°C water or oil cooling.
