Heat Treatments

  • Hardening in the range 830-850°C, quenching in oil (for d <= 70 mm) or water (for 70 < d <= 100mm); Tempering in the range 500-650°C, cooling in water or oil. <br>Temperature of austenitization 845°C.<br><b>Hot plastic deformation:</b><br>- Forging and hot rolling: 1180-800°C<br>- Die forging: 1150-900°C.<br>Annealing in the range 680-720°C, furnace cooling; Normalization in the range 840-870°C, air cooling; Hardening (I) in the range 830-860°C, water or oil cooling; Tempering in the range 500-650°C water or oil cooling.
