ASTM A 182 F 55 Heat Treatments
- After hot working, forgings shall be cooled to a temperature below 538°C (1000°F) prior to heat treating.
Solution treating and quenching: austenitizing/solution heat treatment temperature 1100 - 1140°C (2010 - 2085°F), liquid cooling. Quenching cool below 260°C (500°F).
