ASME SA-182 F 55 Heat Treatments
- After hot working, forgings shall be cooled to a temperature below 538°C (1000°F) prior to heat treating.
Solution treated and quenched at 1100 - 1140°C (2010 - 2085°F), liquid cooled.
Quenching cool below 260°C (500°F).
Ferritic-austenitic grades may be solution annealed without cooling below 538°C (1000 °F) by being re-heated to the solution annealing temperature.
