Heat Treatments
- Annealed at 980°C (1800°F) minimum and rapidly quenched.
- After hot working, forgings shall be cooled to a temperature below 538°C (1000°F) prior to heat treating.<br>Solution treating and quenching: austenitizing/solution heat treatment temperature 1040°C (1900°F) minimum, liquid cooling. Quenching cool below 260°C (500°F).
