SAE 51410 Mod Heat Treatments
- Heat to 927°C ± 6°C (1700°F ± 10°F), hold at heat for not less than 1 hour ± 0.1 hour, and cool in still air and double temper by heating to 316°C ± 6°C (600°F ± 10°F), holding at heat for 2 hours ± 0.25 hour, and cooling at a rate equivalent to a still air cool.
