AFNOR NF Z 13 C 13 Heat Treatments
- Annealed at 775 to 825°C for semi-finished products forging and re-rolling, bars and wire rods for machining and at 800 to 850°C for semi-finished products for hot-spinning, wire rod intended for drawing or forming.
Quenched and tempered condition (T700): Quenched at 950-1000°C, oil and air cooled and Tempered at 650-700°C - Softened at 775 - 825°C or at 750 - 800°C;
Quenched and tempered (T700): heated to 950 - 1000°C, air or oil cooled; Tempered at 675 to 725°C;
Quenched and tempered (T760): heated to 950 - 1000°C, air or oil cooled; Tempered at min. 600°C
