SAE 5366 Heat Treatments

  • When exposed to corrosive environments, castings may become susceptible to intergranular corrosion. Susceptibility may be alleviated by solution heat treatment. A suggested heat treatment is 1097 to 1177°C (2000 to 2150°F) for approximately 30 minutes and suitably quenched.
