SAE 5365 Heat Treatments


  • Castings and separately-cast tensile specimens shall be solution heat treated by heating to a temperature within the range 1110 - 1135°C (2025 - 2075°F), holding at the selected temperature within ± 15°C (± 25°F) for not less than 30 minutes, and cooling rapidly to room temperature.
