NBN C30E Heat Treatments
- Hardening: 850-890°C (Temperatures at the lower end of the range are generally used for water, and those at the upper end for oil quenching; Time for austenitizing as a guide: at least 30 min.);
Quenching agent: Water (Other quenching agents such as synthetic quenchants may also be used.);
Tempering: 550-660°C (Time for tempering as a guide: at least 1h.);
Normalizing: 870-910°C. - Austenitizing (quenching in water): 850-890°C, t > 30 min. Tempering: 550-660°C, t > 60 min. Normalizing: 870-910°C, t > 30 min.
