PN 38HMJ Heat Treatments
- HT1 (Guidelines for softening): Hardening at 880-910°C, cooling in oil or worm water, than Tempering at T= 570-700°C, and cooling in air or oil; HT2 (Guidelines for plastic working): Heated at forging temperature T= 1150-850°C; Softened at T=700-730°C; Normalized at T=900-940°C; Hardened at T=880-920°C and cooled in the warm water or hardened at T=900-940°C and cooled in the oil; Tempered at T=700-650°C; Nitriding at 500-520°C.
