PN 35HGSA Heat Treatments
- Isothermal temperature of 880°C in a mixture of sodium and potassium nitrate at 280-310°C, then cooling in air; 1. Hardening in oil at 950ºC then Tempering in air at 700ºC and 2. Hardening in oil at 890ºC then Tempering in air or oil at 230ºC; Delivery forgings: Heat treated at 1050-850°C: Softening: 680-720°C; Normalizing: 860-880°C; Hardening in the oil at 860-880°C: Tempering: recommended for dismounted cooling after tempering (oil or water) at 500-650°C.
