ASME SA-376 TP348 Heat Treatments
- Unless otherwise stated in the order, heat treatment shall consist of heating to a minimum temperature of 1040°C (1900°F) and quenching in water or rapidly cooling by other means. A solution annealing temperature above 1065°C (1950°F) may impair the resistance to intergranular corrosion after subsequent exposure to sensitizing conditions.
