ASME SA-335 Grade P92 Heat Treatments
- Shall be reheated for heat treatment.
Normalized and tempered at range 1040 - 1080°C (1900 - 1975°F).
Accelerated cooling from the normalizing temperature shall be permitted for section thicknesses greater than 75 mm. Temper at range 730 - 800°C (1350 - 1470°F).
It is recommended that the temperature for tempering should be at least 50°C (100°F) above the intended service temperature; consequently, the purchaser should advise the manufacturer if the service temperature is to be over 600°C (1100°F).
Heat treatment after weld repair: heat treated at 730 - 800°C (1350 - 1470°F).
