- Austenitized in the range 1025 - 1055°C, cooled in air or quenched in oil or water.
Hardening proces for R 170, V 480 state: Aged at 480°C/1h in the cooled state without prior austenitization.
Hardening proces for R 160, V 510 state: Re-heated at 955 ± 10°C/10 min., cooled bellow 20°C/1h and at -70°C/8h.
Hardening proces for R 130, V 565: Heated at 750 ± 10°C/90 min., cooled bellow -20°C/1h, than hardened at 565°C ± 10°C/90 min., air cooled.
