DIN 1.8963 Heat Treatments

  • Annealing at 890-950°C and cooling in still air; Stress relieving at 530 to 580°C. Duration of soaking and retention within the temperature range 530-580°C. Measuring the temperature of the other component surface. min. 30 min, max. 150 minutes of cooling in still air.
  • Normalized at 890-950°C, cooled in still air
    Stress relief annealed at 530-580°C, held for minimum 30 minutes and maximum 150 minutes. For a holding time of more than 90 minutes, it should be aimed for the lower limit of the temperature range
