DIN 1.7382 Heat Treatments
- Quenched at ≤ 980°C
Tempered at 630-680°C
Stress relief annealed at ≥ 600°C. This temperature must be at least 30°C below the tempering temperature and must not be below the specified minimum value - Quenching and tempering:
Strength level I: Austenitized at 920-980°C, quenched in fluid, tempered at 630-680°C
Strength level II: Austenitized at 920-980°C, quenched in fluid, tempered at 580-630°C
The temperature for the stress relief heat treatment should be at least 20°C, but at most 50°C below the applied tempering temperature of the casting
