DIN 1.7375 Heat Treatments
- Quenching and tempering: Hardened at 900-960°C, quenched in water. For wt ≤ 80 mm cooling in air is permitted.
Tempered at 680-750°C, cooled in air.
Hot forming at 1050-600°C.
Cold forming must be carried out at a minimum of 20°C. At deformation rate > 5%, renewed heat treatment is required. - Heat treatment (V): Hot forming at 1100 - 850°C. In the process, the temperature may drop to 750°C. Hardening at 900 - 960°C. Tempering at 680 - 710°C.
