CSN 42 2709 Heat Treatments
- Normalizing at 880 to 900°C, cooling in air; Hardening at 870 to 900°C, cooling in oil or water; Tempering at 620 to 650°C, cooling in air; Annealing to lower tension at 600 to 630°C cooling in furnace, air. Temperature annealing for stress relief to be about 20°C to 30°C lower than the actual temperature tempering.
