CSN 15 130 Heat Treatments
- Recommended temperatures for forming and heat treatment:
Forging at 1150 to 800°C, cooling slowly in the ashes.
Normalizing at 870 to 900°C, cooling in air.
Soft annealing at 700 to 740°C, cooling in furnace.
Hardening at 850 to 880°C, for d<=25mm and cooling in oil or at 830 to 860°C and cooling in water.
Tempering at 530 to 690°C, cooling in air.
Recommended temperatures for forming and heat treatment for large forgings:
Forging at 1180 to 800°C.
Normalizing at 870 to 900°C.
Hardening at 830 to 860°C, in oil or in water.
