B.S. HR 251 Heat Treatments
- The material shall be supplied in one of the following conditions: I) Cold rolled, solution treated and descaled (t <= 3 mm) II) Hot rolled, solution treated and descaled (t > 3 mm) Solution treating (cooling in air or other suitable medium): 980 +/- 10°C (min. 1 hour per 25mm of thickness); Pecipitation treating (cooling in air): 720 +/- 10°C (16 hours) (heating steadily from 550 - 720 °C in a min. of 1 hour)
