B.S. 321S51 (1010) Heat Treatments
- Solution treating: 950 - 1070°C
- Tubes shall be supplied in one of the following conditions:
(a) the solution treated condition 950 to 1070°C (or lower 1010°C); or
(b) the hot finished condition for tubes which have been heated and extruded at a temperature within the solution treatment temperature range 950 to 1070°C (or lower 1010°C) and cooled rapidly, unless solution treatment has been specified by the purchaser.
This solution treatment gives higher proof stress values.
Treatment time for intergranular corrosion test: 30 min
