B.S. 1 C 35 Heat Treatments
- Austenitizing (quenching in water or oil): 840-880°C (30 min.); Tempering: 550-660°C (60 min.); Normalizing: 860-900°C (30 min.) The temperatures at the lower end of the range are applicable to hardening in water, at the upper end for hardening in oil.
