SAE Ti55 Heat Treatments
- Annealing shall consist of soaking for 2h ± 15 minutes at 704°C (1300°F) and air or furnace cooling.
Stress realiving shall consist of soaking for 2h ± 15 minutes at 593° (1100°F) and air or furnace cooling. - Stress relief temperature 480-595°C (900-1100°F) for 15-240 minutes
Annealing temperature for sheet, strip and plate: 650-815°C (1200-1500°F) for 15-120 minutes, air cool or slower; Bars and forgings: 650-790°C (1200-1450°F) for 1-2h, air cool
