B.S. L 117 Heat Treatments
- The material shall be heat treated as follows:
a) solution treated by heated uniformly at a temperature between 510°C and 540°C and quenched in water at a temperature not exceeding 40°C;
b) artificially aged by heated uniformly at a temperature between 165°C and 195°C for 3 h to 12 h.
