PROPRIETARY AlF357 Heat Treatments
- Solution Annealing: 30 minutes at 540°C (±6°C) measured from the part, followed by instant quenching in water at room temperature.
Aging: 6 hours at 165°C (±6°C) measured from the part, followed by air cooling. This step is carried out with a maximum delay of 40 hours after the solution annealing. - Heat treatment solution at 540°C (1000°F) for 30 minutes, water quench and age at 160°C (320°F) for 6 hours
Hot Isostatic Pressing at 510°C (950°F) at 15 ksi for 4 hours, rapid cool, solution at 540°C (1000°F) for 30 minutes, water quench and age at 160°C (320°F) for 6 hours
