ASD-STAN 6061 Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treated and artificially aged (T6):
525 ± 10°C / WQ θ ≤ 40°C, + artificially aged 160 ± 5°C / 15 h ≤ t ≤ 20 h or 175 ± 5°C / 8 h ≤ t ≤ 12 h or 185 ± 5°C / 3 h ≤ t ≤ 6 h - T4: Solution treated at 525 ± 10°C, water quenched, θ ≤ 40°C; naturally aged for t ≥ 5 days.
