DTD 5055 Heat Treatments


  • The castings and test samples shall be heat treated together as follows:
    - Heat at a temperature not less than 510°C nor more than 545°C for not less than 2 hours.
    - Quench in oil or water.
    - Re-heat at a temperature not exceeding 250°C for not less than 2 hours.
    - Cool in air or quench in oil or water.
