PROPRIETARY CT PowderRange CCM E Heat Treatments
- Annealing: Heating at 1215°C/2h (2219°F) under inert conditions followed by cooling at greater than 220°C/min to 540°C (396°F/min to 1004°F). Cool equivalent to room temperature.
Hot Isostatic Pressed condition: It is recommended as standard practice for microstructure homogenization, removal of residual spatter-included voids, keyhole porosities, as well as to heal any shrinkage-induced micro-cracks in the material.
To achive full density: Minimum pressure of 100 MPa at 1204°C (2200°F) approximately for 240 min in argon.
