Generic Ti-22Al-23Nb Heat Treatments
- Heat treatment + specimen surface preparation
AR-P: As received + ground and polished
P-VAC: Ground and polished + 760°C for 100 h in vacuum
VAC-P: 760°C for 100 h in vacuum + ground and polished
P-AIR: Ground and polished + 760°C for 100 h in air
AIR-P: 760°C for 100 h in air + ground and polished
Heat treatment 1: Solution treated at 1025°C for 2h + cooling rate 28°C/min + aged at 815°C for 8h, furnace cooled.
Heat treatment 2: Solution treated at 1050°C for 2h + cooling rate 28°C/min + aged at 815°C for 8h, furnace cooled.
Heat treatment 3: Solution treated at 1075°C for 2h + cooling rate 28°C/min + aged at 815°C for 8h, furnace cooled.
Heat treatment 4: Solution treated at 1125°C for 2h + cooling rate 28°C/min + aged at 815°C for 8h, furnace cooled.
Heat treatment 5: Solution treated at 1075°C for 2h + cooling rate 2.8°C/min + aged at 815°C for 8h, furnace cooled.
Heat treatment 6: Solution treated at 1075°C for 2h + cooling rate 28°C/min + aged at 760°C for 16h, furnace cooled.
Heat treatment 7: Solution treated at 1075°C for 2h + cooling rate 28°C/min + aged at 870°C for 4h, furnace cooled.
