TU HN73MBTYu-VD (EI 698-VD) Heat Treatments
- Heat treatment I: Quenched from 1100-1120°C / 8h, air cooled. Tempered at 1000 ± 10°C / 4h, air cooled. Aged at 775 ± 10°C / 16h, air cooled (aged at 700 ± 10°C / 16 h, air cooled).
Heat treatment II: Quenched from 1100-1120°C / 8h, air cooled. Tempered at 1000 ± 10°C / 4h, air cooled. Aged at 775 ± 10°C / 16h, air cooled.
In the case of obtaining unsatisfactory values of elongation and impact after heat treatment I, it is allowed to carry out an additional aging at 775 ± 10°C / 16h, air cool.
In the case of obtaining unsatisfactory values of tensile and yield strength after heat treatment II, it is allowed to carry out an additional aging at 750 ± 10°C / 8h, air cool.
