GB NS4301 Heat Treatments
- Grade A:
Solutionized at tepmerature 1020°C to 1050°C, (between 1-3 hours), then water or air cooling. Heated at 720°C to 800°C (between 6-8 hours), then air cooling.
Grade B:
Solutionized at tepmerature 1020°C to 1050°C, (between 1-3 hours), then water or air cooling. Heated at 770°C to 800°C (between 6-8 hours), then air cooling.
Grade C:
Solutionized at tepmerature 1020°C to 1050°C, (between 1-3 hours), then water or air cooling. Heated at 760°C to 800°C, (between 6-8 hours), then air cooling.
Grade D:
Solutionized at tepmerature 960°C to 1050°C, (between 1-3 hours), then water or air cooling. Heated at 720°C to 760°C, (about 8h), furnace cooling to 620°C to 650°C (8 hours of heat preservation), then air cooling.
Grade E:
Solutionized at tepmerature 1020°C to 1050°C, (between 1-3 hours), then water or air cooling. Heated at 720°C to 760°C (about 8h), 55°C +/- 5°C furnace cooling to 620°C to 650°C (about 8h), then air cooling.
Grade F:
Solutionized at tepmerature 960°C to 1020°C (between 1-3 hours), then water or air cooling. Heated at 720°C to 760°C, (about 8h), 55°C +/- 5°C, furnace cooling to 620°C to 650°C (about 8 hours), then air cooling.
Grade G:
Solutionized at tepmerature 720°C to 760°C, (about 8h), 55°C +/- 5°C, furnace cooling to 620°C - 650°C, 8 hours, air cooling. - Annealed: 940°C~1100°C, quenched. Solution treated: 718°C~760°C, quenched.
