VdTÜV NiMo28 Heat Treatments
- Solution annealing at 1050 °C to 1080 °C, quenching in water, compressed air or inert gas. Holding time depending on wall thickness 1 min to 15 min.
VDM: solution annealing at 1080°C to 1180°C, quenching in water, compressed air or inert gas. Holding time depending on wall thickness 1 to 60 min.
For cold-rolled strip/sheet up to 4 mm thick, a solution annealing at 1080°C to 1165°C is permissible.
