GB GH 4698 Heat Treatments
- Solid solution treated at 1100-1120°C ± 10°C for 8h, air cooled, 1000°C ± 10°C for 4h, air cooled. Aged at 775°C ± 10°C for 16h, air cooled.
- Heat Treatment 1: Solution treatment at 1100°C - 1120°C, select a temperature within this range ± 10°C; holding time 8 hours, air cool.
Aging: 1000°C ± 10°C, aging time 4 hours, air cool.
Then: 775°C ± 10°C, aging time 16 hours, air cool.
Alternative: 700°C ± 10°C, aging time 16 hours, air cool.
Heat Treatment 2: Solution treatment at 1100°C - 1120°C, select a temperature within this range ± 10°C; holding time 8 hours, air cool.
Aging: 1000°C ± 10°C, aging time 4 hours, air cool.
Then: 775°C ± 10°C, aging time 16 hours, air cool.
