- Solution annealing before age hardening normally should be done at 980°C (1800°F). For optimum mechanical properties, the recommended age-hardening treatment is 720°C (1325°F)/8 h, furnace cool at 55°C (100°F)/h to 620°C (1150°F)/8 h, air cool.
