DIN 2.4605 Heat Treatments
- Solution-annealed at 1100°C - 1180°C, and quenched in water or air-water mixture so that the temperature range of the precipitation maximum between approx. 850°C - 1000°C shall be passed quickly.
The material can be cold formed and hot formed. For hot forming temperature range is 1180 - 950°C and quick cooling in air or water. After cold forming with forming rate > 15%, > 10% for welding material and after hot forming, a heat treatment is required.
