GOST AK5Mch Heat Treatments
- T1 - Artificial aging without prior quenching, aging 180 +/- 5°C, 5 - 10h;
T5 - Hardening and short (incomplete) artificial aging, heating temperature at 525 +/- 5°C, 3 - 5h, and cooling in water at 20-100°C, aging 175 +/- 5°C, 5 - 10h;
T5 - Hardening and short (incomplete) artificial aging, Two-stage heating at 515 +/- 5°C, 3 - 7h and 525 +/-5°C, 2 - 5h and cooling in water at 20-100°C, aging 175 +/- 5°C, 5 - 10h;
T7 - Solution heat treated and overaged/stabilized, heating temperature at 525 +/- 5°C, 3 - 10h, and cooling in water at 20-100°C, aging 230 +/- 10°C, 3 - 5h. Two-stage heating at 515 +/- 5°C, 3 - 7h and 525 +/-5°C, 2 - 5h and cooling in water at 20-100°C, aging 230 +/- 10°C, 3 - 5h.
