GOST AK8l Heat Treatments
- T1 - Artificial aging without prior quenching, aging 190 +/- 5°C, 3 - 4h;
T2 - Aging 300 +/- 10°C, 2 - 4h;
T4 - Solution heat treated and naturally aged (T4), heating temperature at 535 +/-5°C, 10 - 16h, and cooling in water at 20-100°C;
T5 - Hardening and short (incomplete) artificial aging, heating temperature at 535 +/-5°C, 10 - 16h, and cooling in water at 20-100°C, aging 175 +/- 5°C, 6h
