GOST AM5 Heat Treatments
- T4 - Solution heat treated and naturally aged (T4), heating temperature at 545 +3(-5)°C, 10 - 12h cooling in water at 20-100°C;
T4 - Solution heat treated and naturally aged (T4), Two-stage heating at 530 +/- 5°C, 5 - 9h and 545 +/- 3°C, 5 - 9h and cooling in water at 20-100°C;
T5 - Hardening and short (incomplete) artificial aging, heating temperature at 545 +3(-5)°C, 10 - 12h, and cooling in water at 20-100°C, aging 175 +/- 5°C, 3 - 6h: Two-stage heating at 530 +/- 5°C, 5 - 9h and 545 +3/-°C, 5 - 9h and cooling in water at 20-100°C, aging 175 +/- 5°C, 3 - 6h;
T7 - Solution heat treated and overaged/stabilized (T7), heating temperature at 545 +3/-5°C, 10 - 12h, and cooling in water at 80-100°C, aging 250 +/- 10°C, 3-10h;
T7 - Solution heat treated and overaged/stabilized (T7), heating temperature at 530 +/-5°C, 5 - 9h or 545 +3/-5°C, and cooling in water at 80-100°C; Aging: 250 +/- 10°C, 3 - 10h.
