PROPRIETARY SMA 50 (Ni50 Fe) Heat Treatments
- Good results are only obtained by proper heat treatment of finished components. This consists of heating the components in temperature range exceeding 950°C, holding at this temperature and then cooling at determined cooling rate. Controlled atmosphere or very dry gases such as hydrogen or cracked ammonia is necessary to prevent the parts from oxidation.
