PROPRIETARY L-605 Alloy Heat Treatments

  • For maximum ductility, fabricated components should be annealed 1177-1232°C (2150-2250°F), rapid cool.
  • Normally solution annealed in the range of 1175-1230°C (2150-2250°F), and then rapid air-cooled or water-quenched. Annealing at lower temperatures may cause carbide precipitation, which is undesirable for many of the properties.
