UNI P-AlSi0.4Mg Heat Treatments
- R: Complete annealing at 360 - 400 °C for 2 - 4 hours with slow cooling in oven until 250 °C. TN: Water quenching (10 - 30°C) from 500 - 530°C, after preheating for 0.5 - 2 hours; natural ageing (max 50°C) for at least 96 hours; TA 16: Water quenching (10 - 30°C) from 500 - 530°C, after preheating for 0.5 - 2 hours; artificial ageing at 155 - 165°C for 8 - 12 hours to be completed within 2 hours from tempering. THA 16: As per TA16, with a cold rolling (Hardening >= H 50) before artificial ageing; TA 16 H 20: As per TA 16 followed by hardening H 20; TA 16 H 25: As per TA 16, followed by hardening H 25; Ta A: Air press hardening followed by artificial ageing at 155 - 165°C for 8 - 12 hours to be completed within 2 hours from the previous tempering.
