SAE WE43C Heat Treatments


  • Extrusions shall be precipitation heat treated by heating to a temperature between 200 to 250°C (392 to 482°F), and holding at the selected temperature ±6°C (±10°F) for the proper time for precipitation heat treatment and air cooling.
